Yes, if you choose the churchScribe app for iOS, Android & Amazon it is $149 month!

What is the email option for?

BIG changes with Apple & Churches!
This summer, Apple announced iOS 11 and updates to their App Store review guidelines. Like every keynote, there were some interesting and some not so interesting changes. One change that caught the attention of app generation providers like us was the introduction of sections 4.2.6 and 4.3. These guidelines shared Apple’s intention to declutter the App Store of spam and generic apps. I think we can all agree that one less copycat version of the Angry Birds app does not sound like a bad idea!

This new guideline brings changes for thousands of organizations, including our churches. Until now, each congregation has searched for their “ccch” or “Living Truth” among dozens of similarly-named apps. It was making app discovery extremely difficult and frustrating for end users. In short, Apple’s change requires that “similar apps” built upon app generation providers be combined into a single container app. We love where this is going.

The days of your members scouring the app store to find your churches app are coming to an end.

Welcome to churchScribe
The next generation of mobile engagement for your church body. The churchScribe app will immerse your congregation in your church’s content…without playing Where’s Waldo inside the app stores. You customize your content, you make changes in real-time, and we take the headache out of submissions with Apple and Google.

The best part of it all is that it’s available now in both the App Store, Google Play Store & Amazon Store. Search "churchScribe in the app stores to see how we can help you communicate and engage with your church members anytime, anywhere.

What are the benefits of churchScribe App?

We’re glad you asked.

  1. Faster Launch Process – Launching your mobile app just got much faster. The long pole has always been getting every app through the Apple and Google review processes, as it typically requires some back-and-forth with review staff. With that step now gone, we can get your app live sooner.

  2. More Frequent Updates – Our engineering team releases an update nearly every week. We are constantly rolling out new features, enhancing old ones, fixing bugs, etc. Historically, some new features required your app to go back through the Apple and Google review processes. We could guarantee to update your app at least twice a year. That wait-time is no more. Now, when churchScribe is updated, your app content will receive those enhancements in real-time.

  3. Better Discovery – Finding an app in the App Store, Google Play or Amazon Store can be a challenge. Now that we provide the search experience inside the churchScribe app, the process is easier for your congregation.

Thank you for letting us serve you and your congregation. We come to work each day excited to grow the Church in a unique way. We passionately believe in what we’re doing and we look forward to sharing with you what’s coming next!

  • Apple has updated their app review guidelines to limit apps built with app generation providers. Every app generation provider is subject to these changes.
  • Launched apps for our current partners remain unaffected.
  • We’re working directly with Apple and other app generation providers, both in the church market and other verticals, to represent the needs of the Church.
  • Over the past four years, we have seen what mobile can do for the Church and are highly committed to your success.

Quote from echurch
"As the fifth largest app producer in the world (with more than 5,000 apps live in the App Store), we are heavily invested in standalone apps, but we’ve had to come to terms with this transition. We have worked hard to have an excellent relationship with the Apple App Store review team. This is a big deal, and it’s important for us to tell the truth. Apple’s own rules state —“apps generated from a commercialized template or app generation service will be rejected” (Rule 4.2.6). Anyone telling you something different isn’t being upfront.

We could continue selling standalone apps right now and pretend nothing is changing, but that would not be the truth you need to hear. The truth is, your app is safe right now. But now is not forever, and that’s why this conversation is important."

Frequently Asked Questions

Because of Apple new app store changes will we need to set up our own Apple developer account?

Yes & No, If you choose the $59 plan then NO! If you choose the $199 plan then yes. Unfortunately, In order to publish your iOS app, you'll need your own Apple developer account. This is a yearly fee of $299 paid to Apple and there is no guarantee your app will be approved by Apple.

Why do you, not 100% guarantee iOS Branded app store submission approvals?

Apple has as of June 2017 added very strict app store policies making it very hard for apps to be approved by the app store. Apple is wanting more 100% custom and apps that are "unique and original". Unfortunately, Apple will have the last say if your app is approved or rejected. If your app is rejected you will receive 50% off your set up fee back.

How hard is it to create an Apple enterprise developer account?

It can be a long and difficult process. There are many YouTube tutorials out there that you can watch to see if this is something you really would like to do. Your church will need to file as an organization and not an individual.

Will we need to set up a Google & Amazon developer account also?

Yes, Google has recently followed Apples lead and now requiring churches to have their own developer account which is $25 a year. There are many tutorials online showing you how to do this.

Are you a Hybrid app and why not?

NO, we do not create hybrid apps which are basically websites in an app container. Many low-cost church apps are Hybrid apps. Hybrid apps are unsecured and unstable for the users. We create only the best that Apple and Google recommend which is Native apps. There is only two church app companies that create Native apps and we are one of them.

What is the churchScribe app?

The churchScribe app is an all-in-one church app solution similar to your Facebook app! The churchScribe app is ready to go with no need to create and manage an Apple or Google developer account. See it in action below or download it from the app stores by searching "churchScribe"

How would we advertise the churchScribe app?

You would advertise the churchScribe app just like you would the Facebook or Instagram apps. Many churches tell their church family to follow them on Facebook or Instagram and that is what you would do with the churchScribe app.

"Please download the churchScribe app and follow us to receive our weekly bulletin, listen to sermons on the Go, receive church notifications on the app, submit prayer needs and so much more."
